Here is an explanation of the stats that effect combat:
Health: The amount of damage a character can take before dieing. If Hp falls to 0 to -9 the character will fall unconscious, If Hp falls to -10 or lower, then the character will die.
Mana: The amount of mana a character has to cast spells. The character can only cast spells if they have enough Mp to do so.
Energy: The amount of energy the character has to perform has to use combat skills. The character can only use skills if they have enough Ep to do so.
Power: This determines the amount of damage a character can do with physical attacks or skills. (Pow / 2 = damage added to an attack or combat skill [ex. 46 Pow / 2 = +23 to an attack])
Toughness: This determines how much damage a character takes from attacks and skills, and also determines how much health you gain per level. (Tuf / 2 = - damage taken from an attack [ex. 24 Tuf / 2 = -12 damage taken from an enemy attack.] | Tuf / 10 = Hp Gained a level)
Stamina: This and Toughness determines the amount of energy you have. (Sta * (Tuf / 2) = the amount of energy [ex. 34 Sta + 48 * 2 = 164 energy])
Mental Power: This determines how powerful your spells are and how much mana you gain per level. (Mpw / 2 = damage added to spells [ex. 82 Mpw / 2 = -41 damage added to a spell] -|- Mpw + Mgr / 2 = mana per level [24 Mpw + 30 Mgr / 2 = +27 mana per level])
Magic Resist: This determines how spells effect you and how much mana you gain per level. (Mgr / 2 = damage taken from enemy spells [ex. 52 Mpw / 2 = -26 damage taken from an enemy spell])
Accuracy: This determines how often you hit the enemy. (1d20 + (Acc / 2) = Hit [ex. 18 + (35 Acc / 2) = 35 Hit {35 hit - enemie's 24 dodge = Hits enemy}])
Evasion: This determines how often an enemy attack will miss. (1d20 + (Eva / 2) = Dodge [ex. 12 + (32 Eva / 2) = 28 dodge {28 dodge - enemie's 15 hit = Evades enemy attack}])
Speed: This determines how many actions you can take in a turn. (Spd / 10 = Actions per turn [37 Spd = 3 actions in one turn])
Intellect*: This determines how much Sp you receive per level. (Int / 2 = Sp [ex. 52 Int / 2 = 26 Sp])
*This isn't really a combat stat, very helpful for those of you who are not fighters but rather workers.
